I first came across CM Creole Creations under the "Things You Might Like" feature on Etsy. I reached out to Meghan, full-time student and designer of these bags last week because I knew her style was just what "A World of Color" needed as a feature.
Meghan is from New Orleans and began crafting at the age of 7 when she made a pair of pajama pants for her bear. She moved on to learning more about design and sewing style in Jr. High Home Ec. class, and her business has since evolved into a line of adorable clutches and handbags.
Meghan is a meticulous designer. When she first thinks of an idea she carefully plans it out first by making a drawing, instead of jumping straight to the sewing machine. This is clearly reflected in her work because each bag looks so carefully and perfectly crafted, totally professional and I admire that.
The designs fit right in with all of the current fashion trends, which I think will bring Meghan a lot of success. Her style is simple, yet bright, colorful, and eye-catching. The bags are multi-purpose, and really fun and personally I find them way cuter than Vera Bradley :)
In the future, Meghan wants to open a boutique of her own in New Orleans. She also wants to expand her line to leather bags.
Meghan has some awesome press features already that you all should check out. Fash Boulevard and Etsy Stalker (a current collection).
Follow her on Twitter, check out her Facebook, and heart her Etsy!
Good luck with everything Meghan from a big fan and fellow student :)
